xiaomi overtakes apple
Canalys statistics, which specializes in market research, saw Samsung at the forefront of the most exporting companies of smartphones during the second quarter of 2021,
which witnessed a growth of 12% over the same period of 2020 in smartphone sales around the world, after the atmosphere returned relatively to normal by easing General ban in most countries and return to normal life.
Samsung managed to obtain 19% of the market share during the second quarter, with a growth of 15% compared to the same period last year.
Xiaomi came second during the second quarter of 2021, with a market share of 17% and the highest growth in years, at 83%.
Apple, in turn, maintained almost the same sales with just 1% growth, which contributed to its market share remaining at 14% last quarter.
Oppo and Vivo came fourth and fifth with a market share of 10% for both, with sales of the first growing by 28% and the second by about 27% during the same period.
Oppo has included OnePlus over the past month, so it is expected
to raise its numbers in the future through the brand.
